Terms of Service for Depicty

Welcome to Depicty. By downloading or using the Depicty mobile app (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Using the app

Depicty is free to download and use. No account is required. You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes, and not to reverse engineer, decompile, or resell the App.

2. Microphone use

The App's speech-grading feature requires microphone access. By enabling it, you agree that your speech may be processed by your device's built-in speech recognition system as described in our Privacy Policy (depictyapp.com/privacy-policy).

3. Your content and progress

Any learning progress (XP, streaks, strength meters) is stored locally on your device. You're responsible for your own device and backups; we aren't able to recover locally stored progress if you lose or reset your device.

4. Intellectual property

The App, including its content, icons, and design, is owned by Depicty and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our permission.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Depicty is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

7. Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.

8. Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the App at any time. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
